EVERY day we can't help but be overwhelmed by the news we hear and read. You have to wonder if humanity has lost its way sometimes. Wars and cruelty seem to fill the daily bulletins and then, when all seems lost, along comes a small whale.
Within hours it has united hundreds of people from all walks of life, from experienced Parks and Wildlife staff to backyard handymen armed with tubing and funnels, all hoping to be able to help. Every night people watch their televisions hoping for a miracle.
Sadly we couldn't save the whale but in his own small way, maybe it saved us.
