 Golden chance missed

Golden chance missed

26/08/2008 10:28:00 AM
DURING the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games on Sunday night we saw many pretty little girls paraded out in nice dresses.

But there was no sign of the girl who actually sang the Chinese patriotic song at the opening ceremony.

As reported, someone with influence thought she didn't look right, so another girl mimed her singing.

It would be a cruel world for most of us if the obsession with physical beauty goes unchecked.

I would have loved to see the real singer acknowledged.

I have great-looking granddaughters, but they know beauty isn't everything.
